Research access
Henry Royce Institute
The Henry Royce Institute is the UK’s national institute for advanced materials research and innovation, with its hub at the University of Manchester.
What the work covered
Hexatra Technologies Ltd has used the Henry Royce Institute Equipment Access scheme for advanced material preparation testing and characterisation related to battery materials. That access supported laboratory work on Hexatra’s energy storage materials development.
Innovation support
Innovate UK Business Growth
Innovate UK is the UK’s national innovation agency, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Innovate UK Business Growth connects businesses with support and networks.
Nature of the engagement
Hexatra has engaged with Innovate UK programmes and support networks while developing its roadmap across research, industrialisation and deployment planning. The engagement has informed thinking on innovation funding, scale-up planning and commercial readiness. It is not presented here as a grant award or endorsement.
Innovation engagement
CPI (Centre for Process Innovation)
CPI is a UK technology innovation centre and part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. It helps businesses develop and scale process and materials innovations.
What the work covered
Hexatra has worked with CPI on a feasibility and production study looking at how advanced battery materials might move from laboratory development toward batch and larger-scale manufacturing. The study examined production requirements, operational issues, technical risks and process considerations to inform Hexatra’s manufacturing planning.

Green Economy is a UK organisation supporting low-carbon and sustainable businesses, including in Greater Manchester.
Membership
