Henry Royce Institute

The Henry Royce Institute is the UK's national institute for advanced materials research and innovation, based at the University of Manchester with partner universities across the UK.

Collaboration

Hexatra Technologies Ltd has worked in collaboration with the Henry Royce Institute through its Equipment Access scheme, supporting the development of our next-generation battery materials. This partnership enabled Hexatra to carry out advanced material preparation testing and final characterisation activities that were integral to the development of our patented battery nanomaterials. By leveraging world-class facilities and technical capabilities, the collaboration helped accelerate our research and strengthen the scientific foundation behind our energy storage technologies.

This engagement has provided valuable insight into innovation funding, scale-up planning and commercial readiness, helping support the long-term development of Hexatra's advanced energy infrastructure and battery technologies.

CPI (Centre for Process Innovation)

CPI is a UK-based technology innovation centre and part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. CPI helps businesses develop, scale and commercialise technology innovations across materials, health, energy and more.

Collaboration

Hexatra Technologies Ltd has also worked alongside CPI to explore the commercial scalability of our advanced battery materials and manufacturing processes. Through an intensive feasibility and production study, the collaboration focused on evaluating the transition from laboratory development to batch and large-scale manufacturing — identifying production requirements, operational challenges, technical risks and future process considerations. This work has provided Hexatra with valuable strategic insight into the industrialisation pathway of our technologies, helping shape our long-term manufacturing and operational strategy.
